THE ONE YOU BUY ONCE -
MK 6 Twin Bale Feeder
A self-loading, two-bale feeder for hay or silage. Round bales or big squares, fed out either side, on a chassis built from 6 mm RHS steel.
WHY THE MK 6?
The MK6 feeds round bales from 4′6″ to 5′10″, either side, from the tractor seat. That part every feeder does.
What separates this one is underneath. The bale chamber is stainless steel, not painted mild plate — silage is acidic, and painted floors pit and rot from the inside out. The frame is 5mm and 6mm RHS. The feed-out chain is 3″ pitch solid pin rated to 7,500 lb, because the chain is where cheaper feeders fail first.
It's heavier than it needs to be to leave the factory. That's the point.
Spec
-
Silage is acidic. Painted mild steel pits, then rots from the floor up. Stainless doesn't.
-
Heavier section than the class norm. Resists twist from uneven loading and rough ground.
-
The chain is the first thing to go on most feeders. Over-specified so it isn't.
-
Rated well above working load, so bearings and stubs aren't running at their limit.
-
Bend resistance when you're spiking frozen or heavy silage bales.
-
A serviceable, off-the-shelf motor. Parts available for decades, not a proprietary unit.
Built around one job, done properly.

Spreads its weight instead of cutting ruts.
